Artist Commune: Fashion Show
We invite visitors to participate in a clothing swap and then alter these clothes within an hour, using materials provided by Urban Arts Space. Please bring any clothing items and accessories you’d like to upcycle. Once the time runs out, artists will showcase their work on a runway and explain its significance to them.
OEFFA Filming Screening and Panel Discussion
Join the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association's Policy Team for a FREE Earth Day film screening and panel discussion. The Ants & The Grasshopper is a 2021 film that follows Malawian activist Anita Chitaya across the U.S. as she shares how the climate crisis is impacting her home and encourages Americans to take action.
After the film, there will be a panel discussion featuring our state climatologist, a food sovereignty activist, a rural sociologist, and an organic farmer. Registration is free but required. Learn more and sign up here!
Battery Recycling Drop-off
The Westland Area Library will host a battery recycling drop-off event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. April 21 at 4740 West Broad St. All disposable and rechargeable batteries will be accepted. No vehicle (lead-acid) batteries.
Seeds of Caring's Kids as Planet Protectors: An Earth Day Celebration
Join Seeds of Caring for this FREE Earth Day celebration where kids ages 2-12 can participate in environmental activity stations such as nitrogen demos with COSI Science Live, worms and composting with Franklin Park Conservatory, and bee-keeping with Ohio Queen Bee! This is a rain or shine event in partnership with Grange Insurance Audubon Center and Presenting Sponsor Amazon Web Services. Registration is free but required. Come learn how to be kind to the earth and plant a tree (we'll have 250 of them)!

Westerville Repair Cafe
Bring your items in need of repair to the Westerville Repair Cafe on Saturday, April 20th from 9 am - 12 pm. Items can include small electrical appliances, electronics, bikes, toys, and fabric items to name a few! If you can determine that your item needs a particular part, bring it with you!
They will also be passing out tree seedlings! And free Coffee and Coffee brewing tips from Java Central Cafe and Roaster available for those who attend.
Cleaner Columbus Citywide Cleanup
Council Member Emmanuel Remy, in conjunction with Keep Columbus Beautiful, is hosting the 3rd Annual Cleaner Columbus Citywide Cleanup to promote awareness and education around littering and encourage neighbors, local organizations, and businesses to pick up litter. All supplies will be provided.
