Columbus’ Water
Do you know what costs less than a penny per glass, is clean, healthy, refreshing, and environmentally friendly? Columbus water! Straight from the tap to your reusable water bottle; nothing beats it!
As Columbus’ residents, we know that we have two main waterways, our Olentangy River (Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed) and the Scioto River (Friends of the Scioto River). We can also obtain water from smaller waterways such as wells, surface water and creeks. For instance, the Alum Creek (Friends of Alum Creek) and the Hoover Reservoir and Scioto River all provide water to my household! Do you want to figure out where your water comes from? Click here and put in your zip code to learn more about what water you’re drinking.
Maybe the next time you pass one of our waterways, you’ll get a deep appreciation for the refreshing water that it is providing you.
